Far from the Madding Crowd - Thomas Hardy, Shannon Russell, Rosemarie Morgan

The beginning of the end is drawing nearer...

 

That middle chunk of reading was pretty miserable. Especially chapter 50 with it's never-ending details of sheep-fairing. Even the brief middle bits of Coogan and Poorgrass bickering, which I found amusing in the beginning of the book, was worn out when all I want is to move the narrative forward.

 

In other words, it's been stagnant for a couple of chapters now.

 

But I think we're past that and am looking forward to some resolution...
