The Age of Innocence - Edith Wharton, Maureen Howard

Wharton has me ping-ponging - one paragraph I am supremely frustrated with Archer and a couple of paragraphs later, I am sympathetic again.


And not just with Newland Archer, but the same with Ellen and May. I was really sort of shocked with May at one point. I didn't think shocked was in the cards for me with this book, you know, since I read the ending and all.
