This is marked "historical romance" but I was tempted to shelve it as contemporary. Very modern voice here which was hardly believable. Although "The Writing Girls" is an interesting concept; newspaper columns about weddings, fashion and advice just felt too gimmicky.
Additionally, the story lacked any real juice to be exciting. It was mostly about some rich guys difficult decision, in which I wasn't very apathetic. He's an honorable man to the core, which sadly made him very boring.
